Booking Confirmation
Bookings can only be guaranteed and confirmed after payment has reached our bank account. We reserve the right
to cancel any booking for which we have not received payment by due date.
Arrival
Time
After your accommodation has been booked and confirmed we would like you to inform
us or the homestay family of your estimated time of arrival at least 2 days in advance. This is to ensure that someone is
at home when you arrive. If you do not, your homestay family may not be at home when you arrive. Neither we nor the homestay
family can be held responsible for not being at home, or for any expenses incurred by you as a
result.
Extension of Stay
If students wish to extend their stay, they should contact us as soon as possible to request an extension. If
an extension is not possible we will endeavour to find you a similar accommodation. However, if you give us enough time, our
families will give the priority of booking to students who are already living with them.
Sharing a Twin Room
Unless you request for a twin booking with a friend, you will be booked into a single room. We will not book
you with a stranger in a twin room.
Payment Procedures
Please
ensure that your payment arrives into our bank on time. For any stay of two weeks or less we require full payment at least
4 weeks in advance of your arrival time. For bookings of more than two weeks we require a minimum payment of two weeks at
least 4 weeks in advance; the balance to be paid one week in advance of your arrival time. In cases of short-notice bookings
we will require full payment as soon as we confirm your booking by e-mail or fax.
Cancellation policy for homestay and students’
houses bookings
If you cancel your accommodation more than 14 working days prior to the booked arrival date we will refund your
fees in full, less £20 handling charges.
If you cancel your accommodation less than 14 working days prior to the booked arrival date we will refund your
fees, less 1&1/2weeks accommodation fees and the £20 handling charge.
If you cancel your accommodation less than 24 hours before you arrive, or you do not arrive at all, we will
refund your fees less 2 weeks accommodation fees and the £20 handling charge. There will be no refund if your booking is for
2 weeks or less.
We book with our homestay families at least one month in advance; the above policy has been devised to compensate
our families who will be at loss financially, if students decide to cancel at a short notice. Any late cancellation would
make it impossible for us to book another student with the same family for the same period that you had booked and subsequently
cancelled.
Cancellation requests must be received during our office hours, which are from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Monday
- Friday. Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas, New Year, and Easter holidays are excluded.
Cancellation Policy for Language Courses
Cancellation policies may vary according to the course/ school booked. Terms and conditions will be supplied
at the time of booking.
Bank Charges
Refunds are made through the same means by which they are received. We will refund only fees, and
cannot refund bank charges nor the 3% added to credit card payments. Other charges levied by the UK and or foreign banks when refunding fees, will be deducted from the refund in question and not paid
by us.
Complaints and curtailments
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your accommodation, you should let us know as soon as possible.
Your happiness is our priority and we take all complaints very seriously. We will, therefore, endeavour to resolve the problem
of which you have complained. If your complaint is substantiated we will find you an alternative accommodation. If you have
to cut your stay short, and you are a long term student and you are in the middle of your stay, we would refund the remaining
fees paid for accommodation if we could place another student with the same host family. If, however you are at the final
stages of your stay, accommodation fees are not refundable. We, therefore, strongly recommend that you take out a travel insurance
to cover you for loss of study course, accommodation and transportation charges.
